I am an independent scholar with training in the fields of History, Religious Studies and Museum and Heritage Studies. I have previously worked on heritage projects for various organisations in New Zealand. I currently work in the field of digital content, creating content for a touch sensitive interactive digital exhibition and a digital heritage repository.

My main area of research is Tibetan-Mongolian Buddhism, with a particular focus on the history of Buddhism in the Russian Empire, especially among the Kalmyk people.
